Holy Mo’s hot dog cart is traveling Thursday to Santa Rosa to help feed those affected by the devastating fire.
In order to do that, they are asking for donations of hot dog buns, condiments, propane, or any item they could possibly use to feed evacuees and public safety workers.
“I just feel it’s really important that we reach out and help our communities, and the city reached out to us and asked for help,” said Christina Baird, who co-owns the cart that does local events and fundraisers throughout Solano and Sonoma counties.
Baird was alerted by a friend to a Facebook post by Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, who said the city of Santa Rosa was looking for licensed food truck vendors to help feed those affected, because many restaurants in the area are closed.
Courage Production in Fairfield, formerly Engelhart Gourmet Foods, is donating meat for Holy Mo’s to cook, but the other items are still needed.
To arrange a donation, call Baird at 738-9962 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
She needs to receive donations by Thursday morning before she drives to Santa Rosa.
