Posted on Mikayla M.Verified Mo is so awesome!! He's super friendly and kind, always willing to help out. We had catering for a student film and he was so generous with us! Even came in early so we could get our food back to set on time for our lunch hour! All of the food was delicious! The pork was my personal favorite and I will definitely be going back to eat there again. There was an abundance of food and by the end of lunch, there were no leftovers. He also gave us fudge at no charge simply because he's generous! The fudge was delicious and if you love chocolate you are for sure going to love that. Highly recommend! Can't wait to eat there again and/or cater with Mo again. Super awesome experience! Thanks again Mo for all your help and generosity!Posted on Javier C.Verified Holly Mo's Kitchen in West Covina is such a great find! I stopped by today and everything was super fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell the food is made with care. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home -- you can tell she loves what she does. The place is clean, cozy, and perfect for grabbing a good meal without the rush. Definitely coming back soon!Posted on Romina P.Verified Loved my visit to Holy Mo's Kitchen! If you're craving authentic Hawaiian comfort food, this spot is a total win. The Hawaiian BBQ was tender and juicy with that perfect smoky flavor, and the Portuguese sausage breakfast hit all the right notes -- super hearty and satisfying. You can tell everything is made fresh and with real care. Do not skip the deep-fried butter mochi -- crispy, chewy, and just sweet enough. It's honestly one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The staff here were so friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating made the whole meal even better. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and you can taste the aloha in every bite. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great Hawaiian food and laid-back island vibes. I'll definitely be back soon!Posted on Kimberly M.Verified The hospitality was very nice. Amazing chicken Katsu with the sauce on the side. we truly appreciated the Hawaiian Sun drinks that they had.Posted on Reynaldo R.Verified I normally go to a different place but my dad told me to try this place, GO LOCAL - it is a small spot, like 3chairs inside and a 1 table patio outside. But the chaser lady is nice, I asked her what's her favorite item besides the chicken kastu (my normal go too) It did take like 20mins since I ordered a side of spam masubi as well -while I waited I ordered their pumpkin bread with whip cream, it was basically a pumpkin pie but square form and pecans on top! -the ribs, BANGIN' and I got a chicken inside too, the skin was nice and crispy and inside super juicy. Their rice was really good and the Mac they gave was good with added dillPosted on S B.Verified The owner of this place is really kind and makes his customers feel like more than just a number. The shaved ice was delicious, not too sweet which was great. The musubis were also great, perfect ratio of spam to rice and wrapped up picture perfect! There are 3 stools inside at a counter and there is seating outside. Inside feels very cozy. Menu is kinda small but has all of the essential hawaiian bbq meals and even shows items that are coming soon. Hidden gem in the west covina area across from Edward's theater. Much better food and service than fast food chains!!Posted on Sam S.Verified Throwing 5- to this place. Food was Pow and Ono. This place hit the spot. Lunch filled me up. Big Mo and the krew got the touch from the 808 fo sho. MahaloPosted on Tracy D.Verified Located across from the theater. There's plenty of parking. Small restaurant where I think the food is more for take seats. However there is seating outside and minimal seating inside (counter with stools). I ordered the butter mochi and the BBQ mix plate. The mochi was delicious. Buttery, as expected. As for the bbq mix plate, very disappointed. My meat was not cooked all the way. The parts that I did eat were salty. The macaroons salad was good though. I really want to like this place but raw meat is not appetizing.Posted on Art F.Verified Couldn't complain. Everything was good as expected. Service was very excellent, food was immaculate.Posted on Tule R.Verified It's a new location in the semi-connected plazas by the Edward's movie theater. Located next to Bun Street and other local eateries. There's bar seating (fits 3) facing the parking lot and one cafe style 2 seater outside. Everything was decorated tastefully. They played complementary music at a safe volume. Service: Everyone from the owner, to the cashier, and kitchen staff were welcoming! No attitude or annoyed glances when I took too long looking at the menu. They are now offering a new breakfast menu (ube pancakes or a breakfast plate of bacon, eggs, Portuguese sausages, etc)! Food: We already ate breakfast so I ordered dessert. Shaved ice for the youngster and butter mochi for myself. The youngster rated the shaved ice 5/5. They usually take about 1-1.5 hours to eat anything but they polished it off in about half an hour! Even drank the watered down syrup in the end. I wasn't feeling well so I didn't sample it. The butter mochi is a Hawaiian staple. I normally bake it so deep fried version was a treat. If I had to guess they cubed a 4x6 block. Since it was cubed all surfaces had a chance to develop into this wonderfully crisp sweet cube. Would order again. Plan on coming back for lunch
